Can someone give me some stats for making soldiers that can ACTUALLY take a planet. Feeling a bit lost, and gave up, last round. Don't wanna repeat that.

5 of you can read my post, but no one will help? The Wiki recommendation is garbage, for initial unit info. I wasted my time researching, building, and attacking, just to have my troops crushed. Not really sure why no one can help me out with some info, or something. Guess most of you are afraid of real competition. I get it.

Hey - sorry you got frustrated last round. Not many people are too active here in the forum though, besides perhaps the moderators? Not sure.
The game is kinda all about trial and error, and it takes a while to figure out the stats of the defending NPC units... But...
For this round, at 1k tech level, I took very rich planets and asteroids with zero-armor 10 hull ground units with weapons that had around 600 power and 300 damage, very low range (around 5) , single-rate. I built around 1,200 of them at a time, and never had a serious problem, although I had to build more at one time for planets that had defense droids on them.
For poor and very poor planets, I never had a single loss when I used units with armor over 80. At 1k tech level, its hard or expensive to experiment at that armor level, but I did and that's the amount of armor that was impervious to VP and P NPCs...
It became easier and easier to design effective/invincible units as my tech level went up, and I think I became completely invincible to NPC units at around 4k tech (besides Kongs).
